Town-Wide Garage Sale - Find your undiscovered treasures in Morris Plains on Sat, Oct 2nd and Sun, Oct 3rd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drive through the Community of Caring to find your bargain buys at over 70 garage sales. Maps of town and information on each garage sale location will be available for pick up on October 2nd at 9 a.m. on Hillview Ave. across from Friendly's. Garage sale permits are available at the Community Center, 51 Jim Fear Dr, Morris Plains, 973-538-3544. Business hours are Mon - Thurs, 9 am – 4 pm.

Community Bonfire - Community Bonfire, Saturday, October 23rd from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Morris Plains Community Park Pool Parking Lot. Adult must accompany children. Fun for all ages! Refreshments and entertainment available. No alcohol allowed. New this year, bring your decorated and/or carved pumpkin for the best pumpkin contest. Games and prizes will also be available.

Halloween Parade & Party - Halloween Parade & Party, Sunday, Oct. 31st. All ghosts and goblins will meet at Robert’s Garden at 4 p.m. and parade on Mountain Way to Simons Park. Refreshments will be served. Sponsored by Recreation and the MP Fire Department. See the flyer posted under Town Forms.

Refund Policy for Recreation Programs - Refunds will be issued if you cancel registration 14 days before the start date of a program. All programs are subject to cancellation by the MP Recreation Commission if minimum participation levels are not met. Registered participants will be notified 7 days before the start date of a program if cancellation is necessary and fees will be refunded. To receive a refund, a voucher must be completed at the MP Community Center during business hours, Mon-Thur 9am-4pm.
